Ichi-go Ichi-e, Present Moment Appreciation

ONCE, A MEETING.

Every moment is a once in a lifetime encounter; ichigo ichie invites us to treat it as such.

Playing a central role in the Japanese tea ceremony, the phrase teaches us to be so intimately connected to the here and now, so much so that all layers of the past and present fall away, leaving us in the serene communion with what is. With gratitude, we accept whatever this moment is teaching us or allowing us to express or experience.

This is a warm reminder to saviour each and every moment of our life as a unique encounter, never to be lived the same again. Tasting the connection with each moment, the flavour, the touch, the thought, the aroma of the emotional connection. Our relation in this present moment to how we communicate to our loved ones and the community. Consciously slowing down the pace of life and allowing the authenticity of the moment.

Currently, I cherish this warm sip of tea accompanying my connection to these words as I write them. Great attention is given to each word as it comes through me, devotional care for what these words truly communicate. The heart felt hope that it will inspire the reader to connect to their lives in the same way.

A once in a lifetime occasion.

It all is.

Cherished with gratitude.
